JAIPUR: A six-year-old girl is admitted in JK
Lon Hospital after she was raped allegedly by a
tenant living in the same house in Shastri Nagar
area on Sunday. He was caught red-handed by
the girl's family members who beat him up
severely. The accused was also admitted in
Kanwatia Hospital with serious injuries on his
head.
Adding to the plight of the survivor, she was
taken to Kanwatia Hospital where the police
waited for doctors to arrive for almost three
hours. No medical check-up could be conducted
on the girl during this period.
According to the police, the incident took place
around 2 pm. "The girl and her family lives on
the ground floor as tenants while the accused
whose age is yet to be ascertained stayed on
the first floor. He was also a tenant," said a
police officer. The girl's father and the accused
are from the same village in Bihar. In fact, the
girl's father had brought the accused to Jaipur
after finding a job for him.
In the afternoon, the accused took the girl to
his room on some pretext and raped her. "The
family members caught her red-handed and
rescued the girl. As the news spread, some
neighbours also gathered there," said the
officer.
The family member as well as the neighbours
started beating up the accused. By the time, a
police team reached the spot, the accused had
injuries on his head and other body parts.
"We have arrested the man under the sections
of the Protection of Children from Sexual
Offenses Act. He was severely blood from his
head, so we have admitted in Kanwatia Hospital
in Shastri Nagar," said the officer.
A police officer said that the girl was bleeding
from her private parts, so she was rushed to
Kanwatia Hospital. "However, we found no
doctors there. We kept waiting for doctors to
arrive for initial medical check-up. After over
two-and-a-half hours' wait, the doctor
conducted the check-up and referred the girl to
JK Lon Hospital," said the officer.
